Community Inclusion Fundamentals Training

Befriend Inc. sponsored by the City of Vincent, will be conducting two Community Inclusion Fundamentals training sessions which are designed to help staff and volunteers whose role it is to support individuals to become socially connected. This is particularly relevant to those working with Seniors.

Participants will:

  • learn how they can support people to overcome isolation
  • learn how they can develop natural relationships and experience a true sense of connection and inclusion
  • learn the science of how people connect
  • discover an evidence-based framework for enabling the development of natural relationships and community connections, and
  • learn how to apply it to their everyday practice through practical exercises and case studies.

 The training sessions are ‘all-day’ commencing at 9.30am and finishing at 4pm.

There are two training dates on offer:

Tuesday 21 August

9.30-4pm

Royal Park Hall, 180 Charles Street West Perth

OR

Saturday 8 September

9.30-4pm

North Perth Lesser Hall, 24 view Street North Perth

Tea/ coffee and lunch will be provided.

The training will be particularly relevant to Community Groups and Organisations; and the best part is the training is absolutely FREE!
