The City of Vincent Local History Awards returns for 2025.

Run since 2000, the Local History Awards are a unique opportunity for the community to contribute to preserving local history.

Whether you're a resident, a new arrival, or simply someone with a connection to the area, we’re encouraging people who have a piece of Vincent’s history to dig through their photo collection and life memories and enter their photo or story.

Entries can focus on a wide range of topics, including:

• People or groups in – individuals, families, local artists, businesses, community groups or sporting clubs, schools and religious or charitable groups.
• Places – histories of houses and buildings, streets, lanes, parks, trees or landmarks.
• Events – historic or contemporary.

You don’t need to live in Vincent to enter. As long as your subject matter relates to the area, your entry is welcome. Each submission will become a valued part of the City of Vincent Local History Collection, ensuring your contribution helps shape a shared legacy for future generations.

An independent judging panel will assess all entries, with prizes up for grabs for first, second and third place.  

Submissions close at 5pm, Friday 26 September 2025.
