The City of Vincent would like to commission an original, digital art piece by a Noongar artist.
Artists are encouraged to propose a textural design that is inspired by one or more of the significant Whadjuk Noongar cultural sites throughout the City which include:
- Derbal Yerrigan
- Boodjmooling (Hyde Park)
- Weld Square
- Boodjameelip (Roberston Park)
- Dog Swamp
- East Perth Power Station
- Stones Lake
- Carr Street Burial Site
- Lake Monger Velodrome
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Noongar artists are invited to submit their expression of interest for this digital artwork opportunity by 5pm on 22 November 2021 to community.partnerships@vincent.wa.gov.au with the subject title ‘Digital Noongar Artwork EOI’. Video applications also accepted – you just need to include;
- Your idea for your proposed design
- 2-3 images of relevant, previous work you’ve created
- A quote outlining the artist fees (details below)
ARTIST FEES
Please provide two separate quotes outlining cost options for:
- Limited license – the artwork will only be used within and to promote the City of Vincent’s second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 5 years; and
- Expanded license – an exclusive, royalty free and worldwide license of the copyright of the digital artwork for 5 years – meaning we can use it in the Reconciliation Action Plan, city website, city events and various other documents such as but not limited to financial and annual reports, multimedia presentations and advertising materials.
