Candidates for the 2025 Local Government Election have been announced

Candidates for the 2025 Local Government Election have been announced, so it's almost time to vote.

Voting in this election matters. Local government decisions shape the streets you walk, the trees you sit under, the places your kids play, and the events you go to.

It’s not just about rates and rubbish, it’s about what kind of community you want to live in.

There are four positions to be filled this election, and the only way to impact the decision is to participate.

  • Councillor (North Ward) - 2 positions (4-year term)
  • Councillor (South Ward) - 2 positions (4-year term)

There are three steps in the voting process:

  1. An election voting package will be posted to all City of Vincent registered voters and should arrive late September. Keep an eye out for yours, and if you haven’t received your pack within 2 weeks of the election day, please email [email protected] to request a replacement package.

  2. Voters must complete and return the ballot to the City by 6pm on election day, 18 October 2025. The City encourages voters to complete the voting pack and return it via post, in the reply-paid envelope provided.

Should you need to deliver your completed voting pack in person, a ballot box will be available at the City of Vincent following the delivery of ballot paper packages to electors.

Drop your completed pack to the Administration Building located at 244 Vincent Street, Leederville, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm or on election day from 8am - 6pm.

  3. The count starts at 6pm, 18 October and the results should be available later that evening.

This is your opportunity to make sure Council is made up of people you want to represent you.
