Bulwer Street Safety Improvements

We've improved safety on Bulwer Street at the intersection of Smith and Brisbane streets in Perth. The intersection qualified for Main Road's Black Spot Program due to a history of crashes.

To slow drivers down before they enter the roundabout from Bulwer Street, we added raised plateaus to both directions.

The elevated section has a red surface to enhance visibility and provides a visual cue to slow down.

The changes aim to improve safety for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Funding

The project was funded through the State Government Black Spot Program, which aims to reduce crashes and save lives on Australian roads by funding works at high-risk locations.
