Car Sharing
Car sharing is a sustainable alternative to private vehicle ownership and is already hugely popular overseas and interstate. To encourage the establishment of car sharing schemes in our City, we have developed a Car Sharing Policy and Guidelines for Car Share Providers.

Compost & Recycling Initiative
In 2016 we launched a City-wide Compost and Recycle Initiative which includes subsidised composting and worm farming equipment, free workshops, community events and new resource materials.

Local Native Plant Sale
The City purchases around 5000 tube stock plants - all Australian natives – and we subsidise the cost of these tubes to residents of the City.

Electric Vehicle - Vincent Charge Stations
The City currently has one Electric Vehicle charge point available for community use. It's located in The Avenue Car Park in Leederville. Find out how to access it here.

DIY Home Energy & Water Audit Kits
Do-it-yourself home energy audit kits are now available for loan from the Vincent Library. See our friendly library staff to organise a loan. If not already a library member, there’s never been a better time to join.

The City participates in National Tree Day every year by planting native species to the area.

The careful management of Public Open Space (POS) within the City is one giant and essential step towards achieving the reduction and efficient conservation of ground water whilst still providing high quality facilities to the local and wider community.
