Festival of Culture returns to Vincent this Harmony Day

The sights, sounds and flavours of Vincent will take centre stage this Harmony Day as the City hosts its annual Festival of Culture.

The event will be held on Saturday 21 March, from 4 – 8pm at North Perth Town Hall and Multicultural Gardens. It is a free event and open to all.

This family friendly festival brings together food, music, dance and activities for all ages that showcase the cultures that shape the vibrant and inclusive City. Visitors can enjoy live performances, try workshops, explore craft activities, taste cuisines from around the world and meet local multicultural groups.

Mayor Alison Xamon said the Festival of Culture is a highlight of the City’s Harmony Day celebrations.

“We are incredibly lucky to have people from across the globe that call Vincent home.”

“On Harmony Day we will be hosting our annual Festival of Culture to bring people together to recognise the wonderful diversity of the Vincent community.”

“The festival is about celebrating the many diverse backgrounds in our City and those attending are encouraged to wear traditional dress to celebrate their own unique history,” Mayor Xamon said.

Families can enjoy damper making, lantern and origami workshops, henna art, face painting and more. A range of food stalls will offer flavours from across the globe.
