Percent For Art

The City of Vincent was the first local authority to introduce a Percent for Art Policy in 1998, under the State Government's Percent for Art Scheme. The Policy was recently reviewed and updated in February 2023.

Development proposals subject to this Policy are to set aside a minimum of one per cent (1%) of the total project cost for the development, to be used for public artwork. The City encourages applicants to consider public art opportunities as early as possible in the planning phase for development applications in order to achieve integrated and valuable outcomes with a high level of artistic integrity.

The following forms relate to the procedure and application for Percent for Public Art:

Percent for Public Art - Policy

Percent for Public Art - Application for Artwork Approval

Percent for Public Art - Attribution Plaque Template A5 (pdf)

Percent for Public Art - Attribution Plaque Template A4 (pdf)

Percent for Public Art - Notification of Artwork Completion
