Help shape Vincent's 2026-27 event season

The City of Vincent is inviting experienced event organisers and community groups to apply for event sponsorship and bring bold, creative ideas to life in Vincent’s town centres and open spaces.

Each year, the City supports a diverse program of festivals, concerts, markets and community celebrations helping to activate public spaces and bring people together.

Successful applicants can receive up to $40,000 in sponsorship towards the cost of the event.

Mayor Alison Xamon said the City is committed to backing events that are accessible, welcoming and community focused.

“We’re proud to support a wide range of free, family-friendly events throughout the year,” she said.

“These events create opportunities for people to connect, enjoy their neighbourhoods and build stronger community ties.”

“We especially encourage vibrant events that celebrate diversity and all abilities”

In 2025/26, the City sponsored 17 events including Perth Festival’s Casa Musica at the reignited East Perth Power Station and the inaugural Fairytales in the Park at Hyde Park.

Fairytales in the Park organiser Elle Enchanted said seeing the event come to life was incredibly rewarding.

“It was such a magical day, it was incredibly rewarding to see it go from an idea on paper to a real community event, with local creatives and small businesses coming together at Hyde Park”, said owner and event manager Elle Enchanted.

Families enjoyed an afternoon picnic with Elle Enchanted performing beloved Disney classics live alongside a Royal String Quartet plus free kids’ activities and roving entertainers.

“The City of Vincent’s sponsorship was key in helping bring the event to life and keeping it accessible for the community. Support like this is invaluable for local creatives, small businesses, and independent artists like me, it helps great ideas get off the ground and creates memorable moments for the people who live here.”

Applications are now open and close at 4pm on Friday 13 March.
