The City of Vincent has partnered with Nyoongar Outreach Services (NOS) for many years to deliver assistance for vulnerable and at-risk Aboriginal people in our public spaces.

NOS provide an important role in assisting people to access services, making referrals to health, welfare and accommodation services, defusing conflict through mediation, providing diversionary transport and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic they have continued to work closely with health services to support important vaccination initiatives.

Outreach workers liaise closely with the City’s Rangers each day, usually by radio, to ensure support is delivered where it is needed in our community, but last week the two teams enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy a catch up in person, put names to faces and continue to build on the longstanding working relationship between the two organisations.
