Edinboro Street Reserve Playground
We've recently completed upgrades to the playground at Edinboro Street Reserve in 2025.
The reserve is located at 36 Edinboro Street in Mt Hawthorn.
Project delivery
In October 2024, we invited the community to share their thoughts on the Edinboro Street Reserve Playground project. Based on your feedback, we presented two design options in February 2025 and asked you to choose your preferred one. You can find more details about this consultation on Imagine Vincent here.
The new playground features more play equipment, set on a combination of rubber soft fall and soft fall mulch surfaces. While no artificial shade structures have been added, four new trees have been planted around the area to provide natural shade as they grow.
Designed for children aged 0–12, the playground offers 32 different activities. The highlight is the dynamic 6m seated skyrail, complemented by:
- multiplay unit with low, medium and high levels – climbing, slides, bridge and more
- bush story panel
- kookaburra rocker
- double swing
- inclusive saucer swing
We've also made improvements to the existing sandpit and installed a small shade sail for added comfort.
Construction of the new playground was completed August 2025.
