Edinboro Street Reserve Playground

We're looking forward to upgrading the playground at Edinboro Street Reserve in 2025.

The reserve is located at 36 Edinboro Street in Mt Hawthorn.

We asked the community for input on the project in October 2024. Visit Imagine Vincent for more information about the consultation.

Happening Now

In February, we presented two design options for the Edinboro Street Reserve Playground consultation and asked you to tell us which one you preferred.

The selected design (see below) incorporates more play equipment with a mixture of rubber soft fall and soft fall mulch. It does not include any artificial shade.

Based on community feedback, we will be planting four new trees around the playground to provide additional natural shade.

The equipment colours and finishes of this design aim to complement the tree filled setting. A pathway creates two zones including a quieter swing area. The design covers the same footprint as the existing playground and has mulch and rubber softfall.

It is suitable for ages 0-12, has 32 activities and a capacity of 65+.

The main attraction is the dynamic ‘6m seated skyrail’ plus:

  • multiplay unit (low/medium/high levels) – climbing, slides, bridge etc.
  • bush story panel
  • kookaburra rocker
  • double swing
  • inclusive saucer

We have also made improvements to the existing sandpit and will be installing a small shade sail over this in the coming weeks.

Work on the new playground is likely to begin in June 2025.
