Youth Development Grants - Guidelines and Criteria


Through the Youth Development Grants, the City of Vincent wants to:

  • develop the knowledge, confidence and skills of the City’s youth
  • provide opportunities for the City’s youth to learn and develop the tools and skills required to assist them in their future endeavours


In order to be eligible for funding, you must:

  • be a resident of the City of Vincent or a student attending a local City of Vincent school
  • be between the ages of 12 and 25 on the date of commencement of the activity, event or program
  • be participating in the activity, event or program
  • the activity, event or program must have a local focus and provide a benefit to the local community, especially its youth

Funding will not be available for:

  • retrospective grants (the application must be received by the City before the activity, event or program)
  • applications for personal financial gain
  • payment made to administrators, trainers, coaches
  • projects involving fundraising, unless the funds go back into the project as determined by the City of Vincent.

Key Dates

You can submit your application for Youth Development Grants all year round. 

Applicants should allow at least six weeks between application closing date and your anticipated project commencement date and note that the approval process may take up to four weeks in busy periods. Late submissions may be accepted at the City’s sole discretion.


Financial acquittal and evaluation report will be due within eight weeks of the event, activity or project completion. Please be aware that you will not be eligible for any further funding from the City of Vincent unless an acquittal has been received following the completion of the project.
