We're upgrading Farmer Street between Fitzgerald Street and Angove Street in North Perth.
Works
The kerb will be removed and replaced starting 22 July and finishing 15 August, weather permitting.
Resurfacing will take place between Friday 22 August and Wednesday 27 August.
Road Closure
During kerb removal Farmer Street will be closed in sections from Fitzgerald Street to Angove Street. Farmer Street will also be closed during resurfacing.
Access to properties will still be permitted under the direction of traffic control to ensure safety. Unrestricted access will be restored at the end of each shift.
Design and installation of speed humps
Works to reinstall traffic calming treatments along Farmer Street is planned for Wednesday 10 September and Thursday 11 September.
New road safety platforms have been designed to allow vehicles to travel at a more consistent speed along Farmer Street and will reduce noise and damage to pavements.
To address safety concerns at the Woodville Street and Daphne Street intersections, we will be installing two new raised intersection platforms.
The height, length and steepness of the ramps have been designed in line with current Main Road standards and we will be monitoring them for three to six months. Further upgrades may follow.
