Review of Local Heritage Places

The City of Vincent has reviewed local heritage places and drafted a Local Heritage Survey and Amended Heritage List.

In early 2024, as part of a review of the Municipal Heritage Inventory, we asked the community to nominate properties and places they felt should be added to the Local Heritage Survey (LHS).

The LHS recognises and records places with cultural heritage significance, which can include buildings, structures and objects with historical associations to the land, such as gardens, man-made parks and certain trees.

We received a total of 15 new place nominations from community members and our heritage consultant.

At their May 2025 meeting, Council endorsed the draft Local Heritage Survey and the amended Heritage List for the purposes of community consultation.

These documents have been designed to ensure Vincent protects and celebrates its local history whilst also complying with the Heritage Act 2018 and the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

Visit Imagine Vincent to find out more and have your say.

Consultation closes 4pm Monday, 7 July 2025.
