Since 2017, we have live streamed our Council briefings and meetings freely to the public. You can tune in live on our website, or watch replays within a day of a Council briefing or meeting. The service currently captures all parts of briefings and meetings, except confidential matters and public question time.

We are considering extending the live streaming of our Council briefings and meetings to include public questions, statements and deputations. Recording public question time will increase the transparency of the Council process and ensure the public is aware of the issues raised by the community.

If we were to record public question time, members of the public would be under no obligation and have the opportunity to opt out of the live steam.

We would like to know your thoughts about our proposal to include public questions and statements in the live streaming of our council briefings and meetings.
