The State Government has introduced a 2 sqm capacity limit for various indoor venues as part of its Level 1 public health and social measures to manage the surge of Omicron COVID-19 cases.

At 6am on February 21, new public health and social measures were introduced in Perth, Peel, South West, Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Pilbara regions, given the growing community transmission of COVID-19.

As part of the new measures, the 2 sqm rule is now in place at the Vincent Community Centre and Beatty Park Leisure Centre.

The measures are in addition to the existing indoor mask wearing, proof of vaccination and contact registration requirements.

COVID event checklists are required for events with more than 500 patrons and less than 1000 patrons and COVID event plans are required for large events with 1000 patrons and above.
