Find out what is involved in standing for Vincent Council in the 2019 Local Government elections, the role of Councillors and the Mayor and how to submit a nomination.

The session will include presentations from the CEO, the WA Electoral Commission Returning Officer, and some current Councillors, who will share their experiences of being on Council.

To be eligible to nominate for the Council elections, you must be on the electoral roll for the City (resident or owner/occupier). Residents who are on the State Electoral Roll are automatically enrolled to vote. If you have recently moved to Vincent or purchased a property here, enrolment forms should be submitted before 5pm, Friday 30 August 2019.

30 August 2019 Electoral roll closes
5-12 September 2019 Candidate nomination period
19 October 2019 Election day - postal votes counted and results announced
