Roly Skender and Kate Rae

Roly Skender and Kate Rae are local North Perth artists whose ‘The Space Between Us’ project in the City of Vincent will be their first collaboration. The project will feature a series of sculptures that play with notions of physical distance, social connection and collective belonging.

Kate has worked as an architect and designer on a diverse range of projects. She currently co-runs ka:ke design studio, creating objects of art for the body and home.

Roly Skender is a digital artist best known for his large-scale public projections and quirky, theatrical audiovisual installations. His work emphasises an interplay between sound and vision.

In 2019, Kate and Roly independently won accolades at the City of Stirling Art Awards for pieces in digital art and sculpture respectively.
