Donations - Guidelines and Criteria

In order to be eligible for funding, your organisation must fall in to one or more of the following categories:

  • an individual
  • a not-for-profit community organisation
  • a registered charity with the Australian Taxation Office
  • a deductible gift recipient
  • a social enterprise

The following will not be considered for funding:

  • groups and organisations that operate with the aim of making a profit
  • any activity, event or program that contravenes Council’s existing policies
  • any activity, event or program that takes place outside of the City’s boundaries
  • groups and organisations that have received other significant funding or in-kind donation from the City of Vincent in a single financial year
  • the bond associated with the use of community facilities
  • activities that are invitation-only
  • retrospective funding, including refunds
  • Groups and organisations who have outstanding acquittal or evaluation requirements from previous City grants or program funding 

Key Dates

You can submit your applications for a donation all year round, or until the funding sources are exhausted. You should submit your application at least 8 weeks before your project is due to commence and applicants should allow 4 weeks to process a grant application. Late submissions may be accepted at the City’s sole discretion.


Donations must be acquitted by completing an acquittal form within 8 weeks after your activity or expenditure of funds.

Please be aware that you will not be eligible for any further funding from the City of Vincent unless an acquittal has been received.
