Design plan

Please attach a document that provides the following detail:

• Type, colour and finish of materials that will be used.
• Measurements (height, length, width, depth) of all structures. Please note: Street Furniture must be of an appropriate scale, must not have the visual or apparent effect of enclosing a public space, and shall be no more than 900mm in height and 1,500mm in length. Umbrellas shall have a minimum clearance of 2,400mm from the finished ground level to the lowest part of the umbrella canopy.
  
• Details of how the street furniture will be affixed or weighted. Please note: Street Furniture must be able to be removed within a 24-hour period without damage to the footpath, verge or any surrounding service pits.

Site plan

Please attach a site plan or marked up aerial image that provides the following detail:

• Location of the Street Furniture on the verge or footpath. Please note Street Furniture must be located a minimum of 600mm from the face of the kerb and must be outside of any clear corner zone measured at a 45deg angle from the corner of a corner lot building. Street furniture must not impede pedestrian, cyclist or vehicle access and sightlines.
  
• Location of any service pits and/or pedestrian ramps and the distance to the Street Furniture. Please note Street Furniture must be located a minimum of 600mm from any service pit or pedestrian ramp.
  
• Location and width (in mm) of the clear pedestrian zone to be provided. Please note Street Furniture must be located to provide a minimum of 2,000mm width clear pedestrian zone must be provided, unless the width cannot be provided due to the design of the existing streetscape, no alternative location for Street Furniture exists in close proximity to your business, and a reduced width can be demonstrated to meet Design Objectives O1.2.4 and O1.2.5 of the Vibrant Public Space Policy. The clear pedestrian zone must align with the clear pedestrian zone in front of neighbouring properties.

Written support from adjacent properties

Applicants must seek written support from adjacent properties. This may be in the form of an email or letter of support.
