Women on Wheels: Introductory Bike Riding Program

Women on Wheels: Introductory Bike Riding Program

We’ve partnered with Westcycle to help more women feel confident riding a bike. The Women on Wheels program is for women with no riding experience.

Over four sessions, you will learn:

  • Preparing to ride – what to wear and carry, positioning on the bike.
  • Skill assessment and development – braking, balancing, cornering/turning, scanning.
  • Traffic awareness – developing the skills and etiquette of riding on paths and roads.
  • Basic bike maintenance

The program takes place on Wednesdays October 9, 16, 23, & 30, 10-11.30am at the Britannia Reserve main carpark, Britannia Rd Mt Hawthorn.

Cost: $10 per person for the full four week program.

Vincent is subsiding the cost to help more women participate.
