FoodSafe® Training for Handlers

The City of Vincent in conjunction with Environmental Health Australia (EHA) provides a FoodSafe® Training Course. The course so far has been popular with businesses as it is cheap, flexible and covers all aspects of food safety relevant to the hospitality and food service industry. 

Every food business and food handler is legally required to apply safe food handling practices in the food premises and must also have suitable knowledge of health and hygiene requirements!

The cost of hiring inadequately trained staff is far greater than the cost of FoodSafe® training. Risky food handling practices have the potential to cause a food poisoning outbreak and if observed by an Environmental Health Officer may lead to costly enforcement proceedings that have the potential to cause long-term damage to a food business.

The City therefore strongly recommends that all food businesses sign-up for this course.
