PrideFEST Fairday is back at Hyde Park in 2022 with more stalls, groups, food, rides and community merriment.
Free entertainment onstage all day long including the Perth Pride Choir and Joan & The Giants. We’re especially excited to present DIRECT FROM THE USA – the Queen of Bounce, Big Freedia who has collaborated with the likes of Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Drake, Kesha, Charlie XCX and most recently rapped on Beyonce’s #1 smash ‘Break My Soul’.
Also, don’t forget to bring your pooch and enter them in the annual Fairday Dog Show. Enjoy a bevvie in the sun SHINE at the licensed bar from midday.
Everyone is welcome.
ENTRY
Pride WA is pleased to be able to keep entry to Fairday free.
You will encounter our friendly volunteers in their official uniforms collecting gold coin donations, and some will even have a terminal if you prefer to tap your contribution.
All donations are gratefully accepted.
GETTING THERE
Parking around Hyde Park is always a challenge with time-limited parking on most surrounding streets. We recommend getting dropped off/ picked up, public transport or rideshare over driving.
Limited ACROD parking is available in Hyde Park off William St, but registration through the Queer and Accessible website (link below) is required.
Additional toilets and drinking water kiosks will also be installed.
ACCESSIBILITY CONCIERGE
The Accessibility Concierge will be located behind the Hyde Park stage.
Services will include Auslan, Audio description, guided tours and wheelchair viewing areas.
In addition, a number of Quiet Spaces will be operated by various organisations throughout the venue. These Quiet Spaces are designed for people who need a little bit of time to reset so please be considerate around them.
Pride WA is proud to be partner with Living Proud’s Queer And Accessible Project again to help make these events accessible to patrons with specific needs. To find out more and book a spot for yourself and your carers, visit https://www.livingproud.org.au/projects/queer-and-accessible/
