“ANZAC Afternoon:” ANZAC Cottage: The Controversies

So many people have been thrilled by the inspirational story of ANZAC Cottage and the strong community harmony that was crucial for its success.

Not really surprisingly, not everyone was as delighted with the project.

On July 10, the Friends of ANZAC Cottage with the support of the National Trust WA will present a tour and talk outlining the various controversies that dogged its progress.

Bookings are essential and can be made here, or by email.

Entry fees: $10 per adult, $7 per concession, $5 for children 5years and over and families $25. Tours will take place from 2pm to 3pm or 3pm to 4pm.

ANZAC Cottage is situated at 38 Kalgoorlie Street, Mount Hawthorn and we invite you to come and marvel at the distinctive atmosphere of this historic site.

The Friends of ANZAC Cottage acknowledges the support and encouragement of the National Trust of Western Australia. ANZAC Cottage is managed by the National Trust on behalf of the community and the Government of Western Australia.
