Affordable Housing Strategy

The Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on 24 February 2009 endorsed the Affordable Housing Strategy and associated briefs and recommendations, as working documents to assist in the preparation of the Local Planning Strategy, Town Planning Scheme Review and in the development of the City's Policies.

This strategy provides a holistic overview of the foundations for an appropriate and affordable housing strategy for the City. It can however be used in part or staged depending upon the demand, Council commitment and the availability of external resources.

The Strategy provides a number of recommendations that the City can pursue to further assist in providing affordable housing.
