Earth Carers
Earth Carers are volunteers who help groups and individuals learn ways to protect the environment through reducing, reusing, recycling waste.
Earth Carers is run by the Mindarie Regional Council and the City of Vincent is pleased to support this initiative.
Responsible waste disposal
Collecting, processing and disposing of the City’s waste is a costly business. Waste that is disposed of inappropriately, whether through illegal dumping, kerbside collection or in wheelie bins adds significantly to the financial and environmental costs incurred by the City’s community.
The City is committed to educate and empower its residents to reduce, reuse and recycle in an informed and responsible manner. To this end, the City of Vincent is a member of the Mindarie Regional Council (MRC) and together with other member Councils we are working towards a goal of Zero Waste.
What is an Earth Carer?
Earth Carers are community members who understand how to protect the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling waste. Being an Earth Carer is all about finding practical and fun ways to reduce waste, and sharing these ideas with others.
The first step to becoming an Earth Carer is to attend a FREE training program held twice yearly by Mindarie Regional Council (MRC).
