community bus

The City of Vincent has a 21 seater Community Bus (“the bus”) available for hire by the community in order to benefit the City of Vincent residents. The Community Bus is available 7 days a week for casual bookings. All bookings are subject to availability. 

Who may hire the bus?

The City of Vincent’s Community Bus is intended for the use by:

  • Not-for-profit organisations conducting activities/ services/ programmes that benefit City of Vincent residents;
  • Community groups (i.e. sports, schools, disability services, seniors) for activities that build personal development and/or skills and value for City of Vincent residents.

Who may not use the bus?

The City of Vincent’s Community Bus is not intended for the use by:

  • Any profit making ventures for commercial entities;
  • Any activity, event or programme that contravenes Council’s existing policies;
  • Non-residents, unless the activity they are attending is in the City of Vincent or of benefit to residents of the City.
  • Individuals.

Fees and Charges

The fees and charges of the bus are as follows:

  • Half day (4 hours) - $80 with a maximum travel allowance of 100km
  • Full day (8 hours) - $150 with a maximum travel allowance of 200km
  • Every kilometre travelled over the maximum allowance will incur a fee of 20 cents per kilometre.
  • A non-waivable bond of $250 is applicable to all bookings.
  • The hirer of the bus is responsible for the cost of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
  • If the bus is returned in an unsatisfactory condition, the bond may be used to cover cleaning costs.
  • Some groups or organisations may be eligible for a reduction/waiving of fees. For more information, please visit www.vincent.wa.gov.au, or contact the Community Partnerships Team.
