The City of Vincent is starting its annual pruning program for street trees.
This initiative aims to enhance the safety and aesthetics of our local neighbourhoods by ensuring that all street trees located under powerlines are pruned in accordance with Western Power's clearance requirements.
The pruning program will begin on 6 June, starting with Area 1, which includes Mt Hawthorn (South of Scarborough Beach Road). The pruning will take approximately four weeks to complete.
To ensure the success and efficiency of these maintenance works, we request the cooperation and assistance of residents.
We kindly ask that, wherever possible, residents refrain from parking their vehicles under street trees marked for pruning.
This will help ensure the pruning program runs smoothly and minimise any potential disruptions to the community.

The next areas are:
- Area 2 – Mt Hawthorn (North Scarborough Beach Road): July/August
- Area 3 – Leederville: August/September
- Area 4 – North Perth: September/October
- Area 5 – Mt Lawley/Highgate: October/November
Dates are indicative and subject to change.
