Event organisers wanting to bring a fun-filled event to the City of Vincent can now apply for funding to help get their show on the road.

The City provides funding to events that make Vincent a lively and connected place for everyone to enjoy.

Applications are now open for the year-round event sponsorship 2023-2024, where applicants can apply for up to $40,000 in funding.

Free family-friendly community events, festivals and concerts are welcomed.

“We know how much everyone loves a get-together and the events and festivals hosted in Vincent are undoubtedly one of the more enjoyable parts of living in our beautiful community,” said Mayor Emma Cole.

“The recent spectacular return of the St Patrick’s Day Festival to Leederville after a three-year pause due to COVID-19 showed locals and the broader Perth community are well and truly back to attending events they love.

“It was amazing to see more than 10,000 people come down to Leederville Oval and the town centre for the festival.

“If you are interested in running a free community event, I encourage you to apply for our event sponsorship to help get your event off the ground.”

In the last year, Vincent has also provided funding to events including Leederville Connect’s Open Street, Beaufort Street Network’s Dogtober, the Twilight Christmas Market, Revelation Film Festival, Little People Festival, Hyde Park Festival, Jazz Picnic In The Park, Neon Picnic, Pride Fairday and Pickle Lit.

To be eligible for event sponsorship, the events must be free, held in Vincent between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024 and align with guidelines on the City’s website.

Applications close on 6 April.
