Pulse: debut screening and Q&A session
Pulse, the AACTA Award nominated debut feature film from director Stevie Cruz-Martin will have its first Australian screening at Luna Leederville. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Cruz-Martin and part of the proceeds will go to organisations in support of people living with a disability.
Pulse was filmed in Perth, with many scenes shot in the City of Vincent and tells the story of a gay, disabled teenage boy who changes into the body of a beautiful abled woman to make his straight best friend fall in love with him. The film explores issues related to sexuality and disability, and contains powerful messages about identity and diversity.
