Tree maintenance

The City of Vincent is responsible for the maintenance of all street trees and undertakes an annual tree pruning program.

As part of this program, all street trees located under powerlines are pruned in accordance with Western Power's clearance requirements. This includes trees affecting service lines (power supply to individual residents).

Street trees that are not located under powerlines are also under pruned as required to ensure safe pedestrian and vehicle access.

Please note that it is an offence for anyone to prune or remove a street tree.

More information can be found in the Tree Policy.

Tree pruning schedule

Vincent's annual tree pruning program commences in June/July each year.

June/July*
July/August*
August/September*
September/October*
October/November*

*Dates are indicative and subject to change.

To ensure the success and efficiency of these maintenance works, we request the cooperation and assistance of residents.

We kindly ask that, wherever possible, residents refrain from parking their vehicles under street trees marked for pruning.

This will help ensure the pruning program runs smoothly and minimise any potential disruptions to the community.

Street tree inspections or pruning request

Residents may request for a street tree to be pruned back to the property line.

All property line pruning requests must be received before August to be actioned in the current pruning season. This service needs to be requested each year or as required. Property line pruning will be carried out once the powerline pruning program is complete.

To request your verge tree to be inspected or pruned, fill out this online form.
