Leederville Station Upgrade

Project

The State Government is required to upgrade the Leederville Train Station to provide universal access. This includes construction of a new bridge with elevators and stairs at the southern end of Oxford street connecting to Leederville train station over the freeway and through to Southport street in the Town of Cambridge. This is a valuable connection between the Leederville Activity Centre and the West Leederville Activity Centre.

Why we need help

It would be most beneficial to train users and other users of the bridge to land on the north-eastern side of Leederville Parade to avoid the need to cross the road at the landing and provide an activated and safe exit from the station. Our advocacy in this project is related to the design of the proposed upgrade. This interacts with the City's Frame Court car park and any design should be integrated.
