Design plan

Please attach a document that provides the following detail:

• Type, colour and finish of materials that will be used.
• Measurements (height, length, width, depth) of all structures. Please note: Affixed Eating Area Furniture must be of an appropriate scale, must not have the visual or apparent effect of enclosing a public space, and shall be no more than 900mm in height and 1,500mm in length. Umbrellas and the like shall have a minimum clearance of 2,400mm from the finished ground level to the lowest part of the umbrella canopy.
  
• Details of how the Affixed Eating Area Furniture will be affixed or weighted. Please note: Affixed Eating Area Furniture must be able to be removed within a 24 hour period without damage to the footpath, verge or any surrounding service pits.

Site plan

Please attach a site plan or marked up aerial image that provides the following detail:

• Location of the Affixed Eating Area Furniture on the verge or footpath. Please note Affixed Eating Area Furniture shall only be located in the frontage zone or kerbside zone in conjunction with an existing approved Outdoor Eating Area Permit. Affixed Eating Area Furniture must be located a minimum of 600mm from the face of the kerb and must be outside of any clear corner zone measured at a 45deg angle from the corner of a corner lot building. Street furniture must not impede pedestrian, cyclist or vehicle access and sightlines.
  
• Location of any service pits, pedestrian ramps and/or street trees or planting and the distance to the Affixed Eating Area Furniture. Please note  must be located a minimum of 600mm from any service pit or pedestrian ramp and must be setback from existing street trees and planting, to ensure the health of the tree or planting.
  
• Location and width (in mm) of the clear pedestrian zone to be provided. Please note Affixed Eating Area Furniture must be located to provide a minimum of 2,000mm width clear pedestrian zone must be provided, unless the width cannot be provided due to the design of the existing streetscape and a reduced width can be demonstrated to meet Design Objectives O2.2.4 and O2.2.5 of the Vibrant Public Space Policy. The clear pedestrian zone must align with the clear pedestrian zone in front of neighbouring properties.

Adjacent business support

An Affixed Eating Area Furniture proposal that is adjacent to an existing business or tenancy and/or encroaches in front of a business or tenancy must be supported by the adjacent business or tenant. Please attach a document that shows the adjacent business or tenant support. This may be in the form of an email or letter of support.

I acknowledge:

• Business logos, advertising, other branding, and reserved signs are prohibited in Vibrant Public Spaces.
• Affixed Eating Area Furniture must incorporate Vibrant Public Space signage. The signage will be supplied by the City of Vincent and is to be installed by the applicant.
• Existing street furniture shall not be removed or relocated to accommodate Affixed Eating Area Furniture proposals.
