Health Services provide a broad range of Environmental Health programmes at the local level.  Environmental Health focuses on promoting positive public health outcomes, aimed at minimising ill health, while maximising the community's general well-being and quality of life. Whilst the primary role of Environmental Health is to achieve positive public health outcomes through the enforcement of state-wide legislation and local laws (food, water, public safety, noise, hazardous substances etc), the City's Health Services are also proactive in providing additional promotional initiatives to advance public health outcomes whilst complementing enforcement based requirements.
