Final Adoption: Harley Street Heritage Areas

Council decided to proceed with an amendment to Policy 7.5.15 Character Retention and Heritage Areas at its meeting on 12 December 2017. This change means that Harley Street in Highgate is now a recognised Heritage Area with policy provisions that guide the design of development in the area. Public Comment: Proposed Janet Street Heritage and Carr Street Character Retention Area (Amendment to Local Planning Policy 7.5.15 Character Retention and Heritage Areas)

Council proposed to designate properties on Janet Street, West Perth as a Heritage Area and properties on Carr Street, West Perth as a Character Retention Area at its meeting on 12 December 2017. The Council also proposed a relevant Local Planning Policy amendment, including a map of the areas, which can be viewed here.

The proposed Policy includes development requirements for both Carr Street and Janet Street to retain and improve the character and heritage significance of the areas.
