Braithwaite Park Public Toilet Upgrade

Published on Wednesday, 11 April 2018 at 3:29:18 PM

What’s happening?

The Braithwaite Park Nature Playground is located on the northern side of Braithwaite Park, adjacent to Mt Hawthorn Community Centre. The playground has proven very popular with local families due to its innovative design and was awarded the 2016 AILA National Landscape Architecture Award for Parks & Open Space.

The existing toilet facilities that support the playground currently consist of a single male and female stall located on the western side of Mt Hawthorn Community Centre. Based on community usage of Braithwaite Park and to fit with the City’s commitment to access and inclusion the City wishes to advise that works will shortly commence on the upgrade to the Braithwaite Park public toilets.

Works are due to start after the school holidays on Monday April 30, however there will be some minor preparation works being undertaken such as the installation of temporary fencing and toilets prior.

Works are scheduled to be completed in July 2018 and we will keep you updated with progress during this time.

Temporary Facilities

Access to Mount Hawthorn Lesser Hall will continue to be available and temporary public toilets will be located adjacent the main building as indicated in red on the map below.
