Amendment to Policy 7.7.1 Non-Residential Development Parking Requirements

Council recently amended Policy 7.7.1 Non-Residential Development Parking Requirements. The amended policy will come into effect from 7 April 2018.

The changes made will remove adjustment factors creating greater certainty on the number of bays required for a commercial development, clarify the application of the Policy, clarify the assessment of a development when it is unable to meet the required parking requirements and create a simpler Parking Management Plan process for applicants.

The City has also made amendments to the Fees and Charges 2017/18, which modifies the wording for the charging of cash in lieu for a DAP application.
