On February 12, 1916, over 4,200 people attended an event that still resonates today.
It was the building of heritage icon, ANZAC Cottage by volunteers from the Mount Hawthorn community.
The love and commitment of this generous community can still be seen today in the features of Western Australia's first war memorial to World War 1.
