Parking Restrictions Around nib Stadium

As you may be aware, nib Stadium (Perth Oval) is used for a number of sporting and non-sporting events.

Visitors

The best way to get to nib Stadium is by bus or train. The City encourages the use of public transport. Buses frequently run to and from the Perth/East Perth area, near the Oval from across the metropolitan area.  nib Stadium is also well served by trains, with East Perth, Claisebrook and McIvor stations in close proximity to the Oval. For more information contact Transperth on 13 62 13 or visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au.

During matches and events, parking around Perth Oval is restricted and available only to residents and their visitors. Please note that all vehicles parked in the area surrounding the Stadium must display a current valid permit and that these restrictions are strictly enforced, with infringements being issued to offenders.

Residents

In an effort to ensure that any inconvenience to residents is kept to a minimum, the Council has approved Residential Parking Zones to operate on event days.

An e-mail alert system has been developed so that residents can be notified of up-coming restrictions via e-mail. To be included on the e-mail alert system, please send an e-mail to nib.parking@vincent.wa.gov.au and type ALERT in the subject line.

Residents' and Visitors' parking permits have been distributed by hand to every residence in the restricted area. These permits are colour coded for use in one zone only and must be displayed prominently on the dashboard of residents' and their visitors' vehicles.

Additional one-day visitor permit(s) may be issued for a specific purpose. To arrange a permit please contact the Customer Service Officer - Ranger Services on 9273 6017 or mail@vincent.wa.gov.au at least one week prior to the date for which the permit is required.

There will be a full complement of both full-time and temporary Rangers on duty for each event and they will strictly enforce the City's Local Laws. Where a vehicle is deemed to be illegally parked it will incur a fine of $85.00. If a Ranger considers the vehicle to be causing an obstruction it may also be towed away to an impound yard.
