




The Building Services Section aims to provide an efficient and effective service in statutory building matters.
The team embraces and enhances the strong heritage value and the unique and diverse qualities of the Vincent area.
The Building Services team delivers the following statutory building services:
- Administration of the Local Government Act, Building Code of Australia and Town of Vincent building policies and design guidelines.
- Assessment and issue of Building Licences for building works, swimming pools, retaining walls, signs and demolition.
- Assessment and issue of strata title clearances.
- Control and enforcement of the Local Government Act.
- Provision of building statistics to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
- Ensuring building developments comply with the statutory standards of enabling legislation and provide for reasonable structure of integrity, durability, health, safety and amenity for the benefit of the community.
Any enquiries relating to the repairs and maintenance of the Town's building assets, for example, community halls, public toilets etc, should be directed to the Town's Property Maintenance Officer on 9273 6039.
