



Ampfest - Clash of the Bands is your chance to get noticed in the music industry! This pioneering youth battle of the bands will give you the opportunity to play in front of a pumping live audience, meet music industry professionals and share in a fantastic prize pool, including recording time and a track on the AmpFest Best and Pressed CD.
Designed by young people, for young people, AmpFest is a free youth event presented by Drug Aware and proudly supported by Healthway and the Town of Vincent, City of Subiaco, City of Nedlands, Town of Claremont and Town of Mosman Park, in conjunction with their Youth Advisory Councils.
The AmpFest competition is an opportunity for young musicians to showcase their talents, gain experience and be in with a chance to win prizes which include cash, vouchers and recording time. The competition consists of three heats and a final that occur in May and June at various venues in the western suburbs.
The AmpFest competition is open to all Western Australian original unsigned bands, excluding solo artists. To be eligible for the competition, the majority of the members in each band must be aged between 13 and 25 years inclusive.
All of the top 12 bands will be given the opportunity to participate in band development workshops, play in front of a live audience, and record one track for the AmpFest Best and Pressed CD.
A prize pool worth over $20,000 is up for grabs, with prizes including recording and mastering time at professional studios, promotional packages and music store vouchers.
