Town of Vincent Physical Activity Plan

The Town of Vincent is taking the initiative to promote health and well-being in the community through the provision of facilities and services.

The Town has identified the potential to increase physical activity within the community as it has a key role in providing and managing environments, facilities and services. The provision of footpaths and walking and cycling tracks, the provision of safe and appealing environments, the availability of sporting facilities and recreational activities are current strategies of the Council that increase and promote physical activity.

The Physical Activity Strategic Plan 2009-2013 is an innovative and comprehensive approach to enhancing the well-being and health of the Vincent community.

A community meeting will be held at the Town of Vincent at 6.00pm on Friday 27 November. Enquiries can be directed to the Senior Community Development Officer on 9273 6566.

Community opinion is invited on the proposed plan which can be downloaded from the link below.

Written submissions should be marked “Physical Activity Plan” and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 82, Leederville WA 6902, delivered to the Customer Service Centre, 244 Vincent Street, Leederville or emailed by 5.00pm Monday 7 December 2009.
