Ancestry Library Edition

The Town of Vincent Library and Local History Centre now subscribes to Ancestry Library Edition - a collection of online databases combining the USA site Ancestry.com and the UK site Ancestry.co.uk

The USA census information covers 1790 to 1930 and the UK and Ireland covers 1841 to 1901. It also contains some databases from Europe, Canada and Australia.

All current and budding family historians are encouraged to come to the Local History Centre and use this free service. The Centre is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm or by appointment between 2.00pm and 5.00pm. Time on the site will be unlimited.  However if you wish to research at weekends access will be available at the Library general Internet terminals, with a one hour time limit.
