Community Development works in partnership with the community to make the Town of Vincent a place in which there is a positive sense of our unique and diverse community. This is achieved by encouraging active participation of community groups and individuals in local decision-making, and maximising potential for personal, social, economic development.
Community Development Officers work to understand the social, cultural and recreational needs of the many communities that make up the Town of Vincent so that Council projects are well planned and relevant to the community. They also assist the community to access resources and facilities.
Community Development Officers work with the community in areas of Community Services, Arts and Culture, Family and Children, Young People, Seniors, Disability Support/Access, Recreation and Cultural Diversity.
