MEMBERSHIP
Everyone is welcome to join the Library - membership is free (proof of residence must be shown).

Children under the age of 15 need the signature of a parent or guardian on their membership form.

Travellers are welcome to join the library on payment of a refundable deposit.

Your Borrowers Card
FOR YOUR SECURITY it carries no personal details except your name and library number.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE it is credit card size.

PLEASE BRING YOUR CARD to the library whenever you visit, as items cannot be borrowed without it.

IF YOUR CARD IS LOST please notify the library immediately to avoid liability for unauthorised use.

YOU MAY BORROW a total of 10 items for 3 weeks. This can be a combination of up to


10 books
10 magazines
10 audio cassettes (no renewal)
10 paperbacks
10 video recordings
10 jigsaw puzzles
 4 CD-ROM (no renewal) 
 4 music CD (no renewal)
 4 DVD (no renewal)
 4 audio discs/books on CD (no renewal)

The loan period may be renewed for all items except audio cassettes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, Books on CD and Music CDs.

Please Note Items cannot be borrowed while you have overdue items outstanding.

A charge will be made for the replacement of lost/damaged cards or library stock.

RESOURCES AVAILABLE

Library Stock: More than 50,000 items to choose from, for all ages, updated weekly. (Look for the display of what is new). Both regular and large print books are available in many different languages.

For Young Adults there is a special collection of books and magazines.

AudioCassettes and Books on CD or MP3: There is a wide range catering for all ages.

CD-ROMs are now available for loan.

Video Recordings (VHS) and DVDs: Special interest videos, classic feature films and a collection for children.

Music CDs: There is a large collection featuring a vareity of music.

Magazines: The library subscribes to over 70 magazines and newspapers. All magazines are available for loan.

Newspapers: Local and National newspapers are available.

Jigsaws: A variety of these are available for adults and children. Used donations in good condition are always welcome.

Reference Material can be consulted in the library, but cannot be borrowed.

Photocopier: A photocopier is available for copying, subject to copyright regulations. The cost is 25c for A3 or A4 black and white sheets. For colour copying the cost is $2.50 for A4 and $3.30 for A3 sheets.

Exhibitions: The library presents displays on interesting topics throughout the year. We will happily consider any ideas or exhibits you care to suggest.

A comprehensive range of facilities are available for the study of English or a range of other languages.

Books, cassettes, videos and CD-ROMs and music CDs in languages other than English are available for loan.
