The Australia Red Cross First Aid Health and Safety Training College has been successful in its application for a grant covering the delivery of 10 First Aid Talks to parents and carers within the Town of Vincent.
We are able to offer a series of First Aid SPOT talks free of charge to carers and parents in groups of up to 20 people.
An Australian Red Cross SPOT Talk is a 2-hour talk and demonstration of the skills and knowledge critical to saving a life and minimising the severity of injury or sudden illness. Safety awareness and accident prevention are emphasised throughout the course delivery. Each participant will receive a take home First Aid Note handbook to support the learning from the course.
The course content can be tailored and our trainers concentrate on the area of need as identified by the client. Examples of what can be covered in the talks:
o Seizures & Febrile Convulsion
o Fainting
o Fractures & Sprains
o Bites/Poisons
o Emergency Action Principles
o Child and Infant CPR
